I remember when my guys went through that. I did all I could do to help them, and dust off the cobwebs for stuff I knew they'd never use. Guess its the ability to learn is th ekey here. At my kid's school the parents complained so much about the torture of exams (because really, it's just as bad for us!) that the school now has implemented "assessments" instead of finals. The kids have to do some kind of huge subject appropriate project that demonstrates their mastery of the designated subject. They still have routine tests throughout the year, just not the whoppers at the end of the grading periods. clickmom’s last blog post..Do you still have to push?

it seems I'm even struggling with some of my 8 year old's homework, merely because I don't understand the stooopid instructions. This one particular workbook, I totally don't get. Any other homework, i do. This one workbook is written for people who speak another language or something. I have one in college... so finals are his problem, and of the two still at home, one is so self sufficient I'd probably never know she was studying for finals and the other swears he did all his studying at school.
